For live cash games where each hand represents real money, the site takes a small rake which means they keep a small percentage of the pot. So like if the rake is 2% and the pot is $100, the winning player gets $98 and the site keeps $2.

we are a group of 9 friends and we don't want to play with anyone else. we are ok even if it is required to install an application like pokerstars or bet365

If you want to learn how to play poker no matter if online or offline, then all you need to know are some basic Texas Hold'em Poker rules and poker hand rankings to actually learn to play poker and know which card combinations win. It is very easy to learn poker but it is quite difficult and it can be also very time consuming to learn to play winning poker.

Well what game are you playing? Improving your hand in 2-7 Single Draw Poker is vary different than improving your hand in Texas Hold'em Poker.
